Permittivity and permeability: what they mean and why both should be taught at school level

This paper argues for a firmer introduction to the concepts of electric permittivity and magnetic permeability in UK A-level physics syllabuses. Mark Harrison was the lead author; he proposed the article and made the pedagogical arguments. I contributed to the physics explanations.
